Hydrogen is just another source of energy within all the other ones. There are many things that seperate Hydrogen from the other energy sources though, some of these things are: Hydrogen is just a byproduct of water, Hydrogen is a chemical (H2), and Hydrogen is also flammable.

How Hydorgen Energy is Changed to Elctric Energy. Hydrogen doesn’t exist on Earth as a gas, so it has to be separated from other elements. Hydrogen atoms can be separated from biomass, water, and (or) natural gas molecules. The two most common systems for producing hydrogen are electrolysis and steam reforming. Electrolysis is water splitting. Steam reforming is used in industries to separate hydrogen atoms from carbon atoms in methane. The steam reforming process results in greenhouse gas. Steam reforming is currently the most popular and the cheapest way to produce Hydrogen.

The advantages of using hydrogen energy over burning fossil fuels are Hydrogen energy is very light, it can be produced anywhere on Earth, Hydrogen use will cut down on atmospheric pollution. When Hydrogen is used in vehicles, all that comes out of the vehicle is drinkable water.

Hydrogen has many disadvanteges such as it is very expensive because it is hard to handel, generate, and store. To store hydrogen you need big bulky tanks like the ones used to store compresed natural gas. Hydrogen is colorles, tastless, and almost odorless, so Hydrogen is hard to detect. Even with these disadvanteges Hydrogen is no more, or less afishent than fossil fuels.
